Iris H. Jameson, 96, (nee Bennecke), passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2021. She is the loving wife of the late Richard A.; Cherished Mother of Ginger (Daniel) Deitemeyer; Janice {Ret. CPD}(Gordon) Scott-Barnhill; Scott (Patti) and the late Caryn Jameson; Caring Grandmother of Thomas R Jackson, Shannon Scott-Ford (Russell), Steven (Jessica), Ryan (Christa) and Kevin (Judy) Jameson; Adam R. (Kate) Deitemeyer; Brian, Scott Barnhill; Nicole (Jose) Gonzalez and Amber (Jerelle) Mardis. Adoring Great Grandmother of Grace and Nora Deitemeyer, Jocelyn Gonzalez, Lucan Barnhill, Eric, Evan, Grady and Sawyer Jameson. Fond Aunt and Friend to Many.
She is the youngest and last remaining child of the late Frederick and Irene Bennecke. When she was young, her life revolved around her family. Later she began to enjoy her life long interests in Jazz and Big Band music and watching the Bears and Cubs on TV. She has been a long time resident of the Jefferson Park Senior Suites, enjoying the time with her friends there and loved to play Bingo with them.

Visitation will be held at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center on Thursday, December 2 from 4 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be on Friday at the funeral home at 11 am with Carole Edwards officiating. Interment following at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Chicago, Il.
