Violet A. Mazzone, Age:89

Violet 'Palenik' Mazzone - Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma and Friend to many

Violet was born on June 5, 1932 and passed away a few months before her 90th birthday on March 8, 2022.

Her parents were John and Catherine Palenik who immigrated from Slovakia.  She had two sisters, Pauline who passed away a few years ago and Eleanor who just turned 91.

She worked for the phone company after graduating from Providence High School and then married Frank Mazzone.  He died when she was just 42 and it was rough for her but she managed to get work, learned how to drive (that wisely didn't last long!) and had many, many dogs.

They had 5 amazing, highly intelligent and good looking children, Cathy Breisch (Bill), Mary Letteri (Tony), Diane Ariola (Jim), Frank Mazzone (Linda) and John Mazzone, (Julie) John sadly passed from Covid in 2020 .

Those amazing children gave her 12 grandchildren.  The Breisch's included Bill (Amanda), Nicky (Nicole) and Joey (Jacqueline).  The Letteri's included Christy (Mark), and Stacy (Roberto).  The Grazzini's included Joe (Christine) and Michael (Lauren).  The  Frank Mazzone's include Vicki, Valerie (Franco), and Frank (Catherine).  The John Mazzone's include Johnny (Joanna), and Heather (Eric).

Now those spectacular grandchildren gave her 16 Great Grandchildren.  In no particular order - The Breisch clan - Jemma, Jayden, Landon, Macoy, Aiden and Everly.  The Letteri (Luczak/Sandoval) clan - Cole, Jake and Kylie.  The Grazzini clan - Giana, Camden and Reagan.  The Mazzone clan #1 - Mia, Lincoln, Isabella and Francesca.  The Mazzone clan #2 - Briella.

You hear how one person, one life can make a difference.  Looking at the list above shows that to be true.  Because of Violet (and of course her hubby Frank), all of these wonderful people exist.  She overcame a lot of obstacles and illnesses - even Covid, but her suffering ended while she was surrounded by family.

Love your family, spend time with them, cherish the time you have.

Nicki and Maria I’m so sorry for your loss of your wonderful mom. It was a privilege to know Cathie for over 4o years. She was a wonderful friend and I miss her every day. She always lifted you up and never complained about being ill. She loved you both with all her heart and her angel babies kept her going. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely Diane

Cathie was such an amazing woman....so strong, positive and kind despite all the struggles and pain she was going through. I was so inspired by her faith and positivity! She was always such a joy to be with! I know, without a doubt, that she is with the angels, who she always spoke about...without any more pain and suffering! She truly deserves this peace and joy! God bless her and her family!
