On August 6, 2022, Michael "Mike" J. Sardo, age 78, is peacefully at rest after a long struggle with illness.  He was born and lived almost his entire life in Chicago where he was surrounded by family and many friends.  Mike proudly served his country honorably in Viet Nam.

Being a skilled carpenter and mechanic, he shared his knowledge and craftsmanship with many.  He was a good man who was always willing to help a friend.  From the Crosby Service station beginning in the sixties to the current car club, Chicago Gearheads, cars and car-talk was a passion and favorite pastime.

Mike leaves behind his loving wife, Janice; his beloved brother, Rocco and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Mike will be remembered as a great guy and great human being.  He will truly be missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Sunday, August 21 from 11 am to 1 pm with the services being held at 12:30 pm at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center, 6471 N. Northwest Hwy.(1 block north of Devon), Chicago, Il.
