Franklin Donado, 99, of wheeling, IL, passed away on August 24, 2022 from medical complications.

Franklin was born on February 2, 1923 to Maria and Pompilio Donado in Plato Colombia S.A.

Franklin's lifelong dream came to fruition when he relocated to the United States in 1963. A year later after working hard to establish himself in a new country he was able to bring his wife and children to be with him and they settled in Chicago IL.

Franklin retired from Chrysler Corporation after 39 years of dedicated service. Though he was a lifelong sports fan his biggest thrill was spending time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Pompilio, his brother, Saul and by his beloved wife of 73 years Angela (née Bustamante). He is survived by his three children, Amilio (Ana), Aixa ( Dr. Edward) Chen, Hugo (Penny); seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother, Melquides and many nieces and nephews.

A private service was held on August 27, 2022.

Franklin will be forever remembered and loved by the many people whose lives he touched.
