Michael Joseph McDonough, Age:87

On August 22, 2020, Michael J. McDonough peacefully passed away at his home. Michael lost his youngest son, Gregory, on this same day one year ago.  Michael, 87 years old, was a Chicago plumbing inspector, real estate broker, and photographer. He leaves behind his wife Joan, an Irish native. Joan and Michael were married 63 years ago. Michael's father and mother, Michael and Brigid, were also native Irish citizens. Michael's siblings who preceded him in death are as follows: Mark, Judge Martin, and Brigid. 
    Michael was a loyal member of Local 130 U.A. Plumbers Union. For many years, he was the Union's St. Patrick's Day photographer. He was acknowledged in the Plumbers Journal as "someone you should know." He was the manager of the McDonough Family Singers. He loved music and instilled that value in his children. He enjoyed camping and boating with his wife and children. Michael was a devoted Catholic and a proud Irish-American. 
     Michael leaves behind seven other children and their spouses: Michael (Lise), Sean (Julie), Patrick (Patti), Joan, Frances (Len), David (Gayle), Regina. Here is the list of his grandchildren and spouses: Ryan, Anna, Sarah (Marty), Brigid, Patrick, David, Michael, Ian, Dylan, Monica (Drake), Sasha, Ken (Julia), Madison, David, Erin, Justin, Colin, Kevin, Megan, and Kaitlyn. Great grandchildren are as follows: Rose, Rory, Ryan, Finley, and Oliver.
       Memorial service and then interment of the ashes will take place at 10:30 A.M. September 12, 2020 in Chapel at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
