Paul Frederick Thran, son of Emma Whitaker and Claire Nelson Thran, was born on July 2, 1949, in Aberdeen, Maryland, and died peacefully in his home in Chicago on June 1, 2021. Paul will be remembered for viewing every question as an opportunity to give a creative, unexpected response. This made being around Paul interesting. He was succeeded by wife, Katherine Johnson, and three daughters Emma, Michelle, and Mimi Thran.
