John Stephen Zook, born January 26, 1964, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021. Beloved husband of Julianne (nee Wodnicki). Loving father of Stephen (Paulina). Beloved son of Lola and the late Nicholas Zook. Cherished brother of Reverend Nicholas (Stephanie), Donald, Robert, and Ronald Zook. Dear uncle of Alexander, Gregory, Nathan, and Joshua Zook, and Angela and John Wodnicki. John graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1982, and joined the Chicago Police Department in June of 1991; he spent most of his career as a Patrolman in the 14th District. John loved bald eagles and enjoyed collecting figurines and art pieces.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a St. Jude Service at 7:00 pm at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6471 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago, IL 60631. Family & friends will gather on Saturday, July 17, 2021 for a Memorial Visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3855 N. Seeley, Chicago, IL 60618. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation www.cpdmemorial.org.
