Ed passed away peacefully at his daughters home on August 26th. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel located at 620 5th street, Aurora at 10:00 am on Saturday September 5th. Burial will immediately follow at West Side Cemetary in Batavia. Rosary will be held at 4:00 pm the day preceding the funeral. Ed will be reunited with his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia, grandson, Justin. Ed attended Marmion Military Academy and was a graduate of St Charles High School. He served his country as a Korean War Veteran. He also served as a law enforcement officer on the St Charles PD and Kane County SD. Ed retired from Armour Dial after 15 years as head of safety and security. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose and ARRL Ham Radio Club. Ed is survived by his sister Lynn O'Holloran, his sons Tim (AZ), Patrick (Pam) NV, Jim, (Sycamore), his daoughters Debbie Phillips, Batavia, Kathy (John) Bacon of Sugar Grove. His grandchildren, Danny, Connor, Paul, Allysa, Jacob, Daniel, Jesse, Caliegh and Isabela. His niece Colleen (Mark) Schlegal. His cats Sammy and Buddy.
