Dorothy A. Giambrone (nee Mock), 94, of Norwood Park, at rest September 12, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 53 years; loving mother of Mary (Paul) McCoy, Debbie (Jonathan) Jedd, John (Cindy) and Joseph (Victoria); proud grandmother of Steven, Christopher, Carolyn (Stephen), Matthew, Alex, Kevin, Mary, Joseph and the late Emma; dear sister of the late John Mock Jr., daughter of the late John and Emma Mock. Retired Chicago Public School Teacher, diehard Cubs fan, avid gardener, lover of poetry and lifelong member of Norwood Park Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Visitation Tuesday, September 17, from 10am until the time of funeral service at noon at New Life Community Church - Norwood Park, 5917 N Nina Ave, Chicago, IL 60631. Interment Irving Park Cemetery.

Your Dad is smiling as of the 12th. I have so many fond memories of your mom but the first thing that comes to mind is her smile. I don’t think I have ever seen your mom in a bad mood. She was such a kind, loving person and emitted pure joy. God be with all of you during this time of transition for all of you😇
