Suan Chen of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021. Suan enjoyed knitting, sudoku, spending time with friends at the Norwood Park Senior Center line dancing and playing bocce ball, and Suan loved maintaining her vegetable garden; Suan is preceded in death by her parents Huah-Gio Chen & Tsah-Hua Sheh Chen; beloved mother to Georges (Page) Hung & Emily (Michael) Hicks; loving grandmother to Dylane, Niels, Lucy & Adam; dear sister to Takiahalu (Geng-Shiok), Peggy, Jonathan (Joanna) and the late Toshio (Geok-Ki), Tazuo (Shiok-Tzu), Yoshibo (Bee-Giok). In lieu of a memorial visitation or service, please stay healthy during these unprecedented times as that is what Suan would have wanted. A memorial will be planned at a later date when we are all able to gather together.
