Elizabeth Ann Katsavelos, Age:49

Elizabeth Ann Katsavelos, Precious daughter of Christine (Louis) Oxendine and the late Evangelos Katsavelos and loving sister of Jim Katsavelos went to be with her Lord on April 25, 2019 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 11, 1969, in Chicago. Attended Plato Elementary School, Notre Dame High School and Northwestern University. Liz shared her love of people and art for 23 years at Atlas Galleries on Michigan Avenue. Her smile and personality brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Further survived by her best friend and life partner, Henio del Castillo, Jr., aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of friends as well as her much loved Goddaughter, Maria Lara. A celebration of her life will be held at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6471 N Northwest Hwy. Chicago on Monday, April 29. 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. the family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff at Rush Medical Center for their compassionate and professional care over the past months and the exceptional vigil of love and care from Louise Barder Corzine and Cristina Mungai Scalzitti in her final days. .

I am so sorry about your dear Elizabeth. I hope that you can find comfort in the God's words when he promises "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:4) The very fact that God knows the agony of your grief, his promise shows that he intends to remove the pain forever. I look forward to the fulfillment of these words. The Bible gives us hope.
