Jill Marie (Walstead) Doherty

 

Jill Marie Doherty (Walstead), was called home to our lord on April 17, 2019.  Born March 8, 1963, second of 3 children to Gerald “Jerry” and Jeanne Walstead.

Jill graduated from Bloomington Lincoln High School and University of Wisconsin-Stout.

 

Jill was a successful business woman: International Founder at PrimeMyBody; Partner, Business Development at Murphy Lomon & Associates; Former Owner/ President at Leprecan Portable Restrooms.  She was also involved with Make a Wish in MN, Ignite the Spirit, Edison Park Chamber of Commerce and Edison Park Community Council.

 

Jill had a special love for her pugs Otis, Pickle and Stella, and supported The Garrido Stray & Rescue Foundation.

 

Proceeded in death by her father: Jerry Walstead, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

 

Survived by her: Loving Partner: Greg Boysen, Mother: Jeanne (Dennis Daniels) Walstead, Brother: Tim (Kelle) Walstead, Sister: Beth (Russ) Abstein and Nephews: TJ (Abby) Walstead and Ryan Abstein, Nieces: Jourdan (Max) Crawford, Lauren Walstead, Alissa Walstead, and Danielle Abstein.  Great Nephew: Liam Walstead and Great Nieces: Kinsley Crawford and Evie Walstead.

 

 Jill was one of the most giving people you would ever meet and she will be dearly missed. 

 

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life at Olson Burke Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6471 N. Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL 60631 Saturday, May 18th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to  Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation, 5310 N. Harlem Ave. Suite 210 , Chicago, IL 60656

I am so very sorry for your loss. Jill was so much fun in high school and her life demonstrated she never lost that spark. My prayers are made for all of you during this time and as you move forward in this new reality. May you find peace and acceptance knowing Jill will live on in your hearts and all those who loved her. She will certainly be greatly missed by many.
