John K. Marasovich, age 64, passed away June 13, 2018, at his home in Addison, Illinois. Beloved son of the late John P. and the late Shirley; best brother-ever to Karen Howard; dear uncle to Michael Howard and Alexa Howard; fond nephew of Albina Marasovich and Frano (Carol) Marasovich; cherished cousin and friend to many. Perhaps his favorite work over the years was as entrepreneur and small business owner where he provided the best customer experience to those who could not help but become friends. He will be remembered for his lifelong gregarious nature, love of people and passion for sports that led him to earn the nickname “Jersey John” as one of the biggest fans and supporters of the Chicago Wolves ice hockey team. After he retired, he found his talent and love of writing, turning out pages and pages of stories and historical memories. A celebration of life and visitation will take place Friday, June 29, 2018, from 4pm-9pm with a service at 7pm at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6471 N.
