Dear Rick, Rick Jr., and Scarlet, I just heard the news about my dear peer and friend Maureen. Words can't express my shock and grief. Maureen and I spend hours together employed at Advocate Addiction Treatment services caring for recovering addicts. She was a delight to work with and I feel like I know you, because you were the center of her life. Maureen loved you all so much and spoke of each you with pride and dedication. She would update me on the high lights of your lives with such excitement. As I moved to Lockport, it became more difficult to connect, but one of our more recent conversations was to meet for lunch in Chicago and see her town house. She was one classy intelligent lady, who I was fortunate enough to know. I will never forget her or the memories that we shared.
