Age 71 of Waterman passed away September 22,2010 at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, IL. Born on April 14th, 1939 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of Allen and Wilda Snodgrass and step daughter to Mackie McCadden. She married William Warner, September 1961 following his death in 1979. She remarried Harold Giddings in June of 1985. "Betty" is survived by her husband Harold, daughter Vikki Warner Pope (Mark), Michael Warner (Suzi), four step kids; Randy (Tina), Brian (Cathy), Nathan, and Lita Giddings, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who all loved her dearly. She is a graduate of Woodruff High School in 1957 and Copley Nursing School in 1960. After nursing school Betty had numerous nursing jobs that included: Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL, Dekalb Nursing Home, Sycamore ER, Sycamore Vent care, and Kishwaukee Hospital. Betty retired in 1998 with over 35 years of nursing. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Waterman,over 20 years with the Christian Women;s Club, volunteered for NICE Center, and many other organizations. Betty was an avid dog lover and loved to spend time with family and friends. Visitation and services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the United Methodist Church of Waterman,. Visitation is from 5:00 pm-6:00pm, memorial service from 6:00-7:00 pm followed by a reception dinner. In lieu of flowers, memorials go to the United Methodist Church of Waterman at 210 W Garfield St, Waterman, IL. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dekalb, October 6,2010 for family and friends. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Central Dupage Hospital ICU for their outstanding services they provided for Betty. Betty (mom), you will be missed yet remembered dearly by all.
