Maurer, Dorothy M. age 90of Aurora, passed away June 1, 2011 at Aurora Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 14, 1920 in Loma, North Dakota. Survivors include her two sons, Larry (Rosemarie) Brookner, Clinton (Sherry) Brookner; seven grandchildren, Kathleen (Mike) Dotson, Alan (Sandy) Brookner, Mary (Larry) Boyd, Aimee (Brandon) Alviar, Michelle (Bruce) White, Krista (Lupe) Venecia, Eric Brookner; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Marlene) Parker; sister, Phyliss (Elmer) Kiefer; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Brookner; second husband, Leslie Maurer; brother Lyle (Alice) Parker; sister, Violet (Bud) Barkley; sister, Loraine (John) Brouch; sister, Lois Miller. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, Illinois. Private services will be held later this month.
