Sovern, William W., 60 of Aurora, IL, went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2011. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 9, 1950. Bill served the city of Aurora as a police officer and received commendations for his courteous and professional manner. He also enjoyed being a business owner. Bill is the son of Elmer and Carol Sovern of Albia, IA. Bill is survived by his children, Heather (David) Worst, Aaron (Liz) Sovern, Will (Olivia) Sovertn, and Amanda Sovern. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Matthew, Zoe and Cody Worst, Christian and Brandy Sovern, and Maci Sovern. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Barb) Sovern, Mary (Charles)Hall, Alice (Lee) Gaus, and Richard Sovern. He leaves many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Edgerton Sovern, and by his grandparents. A memorial service will be helad at 11 am on Wednesday, July 13th at the First Presbyterian Church located at 325 E Downer Place in Aurora, IL.
