Edward Harold O'Malley, 67, passed away October 1, 2012, at the end of a two-year struggle with cancer. Born February 16, 1945 in Chicago to the late Joseph and the late Rose O'Malley, Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Barbara, nee Healy, and four grateful children, Michael, Maureen, Briaghn (Matthew) Bourjaily and Patrick; loved and admired brother of Thomas (Nadine), Marita (Timothy) Corcoran, the late Richard and Margaret O'Malley (William Kroeplin); brother-in-law of Patricia (Dominic) D'Ambrosio, Bernard (Priscilla) Healy, Therese (Donald) Vena, Anne (Behram) Hansotia and the late Brian (Carol) Healy. An example of goodness and decency to all who knew him; Marine veteran of the Vietnam War; always faithful. Private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Memorial Mass to be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville, on Saturday, October 13 at 11 am.
