Gordon D. Bartholomew, 75, passed away July 17, 2013 at Edwards Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 25, 1938 in Billings, Montana. Gordon grew up on a ranch near Ballantine, Montana. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. Gordon married Janet (nee Van Alstine) in San Francisco on February 20, 1960. He graduated from Montana State College and got his master degree at NIU in electrical engineering. He worked for Control Data, Western Electric, Bell Labs, and retired from Lucent Technologies. Loved and cherished by his wife, Janet; daughters, Jean Rehm, Mary (Shawn) Stark, and the late Sharon (Stephen) Ledvina; his sister, Victory (Jerry) McNanamen; sister-in-law, Eleanor (the late Jack) Bartholomew; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd, Naperville, Il 60540. Visitation at 9:30 am, Mass at 10:30 am. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Illinois.
