Edna G. McLain (nee Jensen), age 85, of Chicago, formally of Rockford, IL, died on May 18, 2014, after a sudden illness. Born December 17, 1928 in Royal Oak, MI. Served as a Lt. Jg. in the Navy as a nurse. Worked 28 years as a RN at RHM Hospital. Survived by son Andrew (Laurie) McLain, daughters Katherine (Mike) Olson of Rockford, IL, and Patricia (Leon) Irving of FL; 7 grandchildren; brothers Erik, John, Erv Jensen and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday May 22, 2014, at the Danish Home of Chicago at 2:00 p.m. at 5656 N Newcastle Chicago, IL 60631. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to the Danish Home of Chicago or Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 330 Rural St., Rockford, IL 61107.
